Indus maintains an aggressive drilling and exploration strategy in its Block RJ-ON/6. Nine wells have been drilled in the Block so far and tenth well drilling is in progress.
The Block RJ-ON/6 contains two on-shore gas discovery areas, SGL and SSF. Indus expects saleable production from the SGL discovery to commence during 2009. The SSF discovery is expected to be tested soon.
The following work programme has been planned for the next 12 months, to the extent permitted by the PSC and subject to the availability of funds:
testing and commencement of appraisal of SSF discovery;
drilling of exploratory wells to target prospects;
acquisition of an additional 400 km2 of 3D seismic data in the Block; and
processing and interpretation of acquired 3D seismic data to generate additional prospects and delineate appraisal well targets in the existing discovery area.
